Veil Scar Sect
Known as “the place where the living and the dead share a road” — killers who leave no trace behind.
HereticalRival: WudangFinger / Concealed Weapon / Sword
Veil Scar Sect is commonly called “the place where the living and the dead share a road,” a sect that absorbs many of the martial world’s most desperate outlaws. Its disciples work in secrecy, rarely leaving a trace of their movements. They’re masters of the mystic arts of concealment, needle-throwing, and stone-hurling — once the intent to kill is set, death comes without warning and without form. Based in the Huainan–Jieqing Cliff region, its arts run on the Mystic Yin elemental attribute.
Veil Scar Sect is a heretical sect that won’t teach anyone whose reputation is too high, and stands opposed to Wudang. Its members lean toward the Rebellious stance.
Sect Philosophy
Its arts span finger techniques, concealed weapons, and sword — coming and going without a trace, striking with the speed of lightning, ruthless and precise, built to end a life in an instant without a shred of hesitation. Veil Scar Sect favors the unconventional path: study of reversed (heretical) chapters is 50% faster, while orthodox chapters are 50% slower (this modifier does not apply to a manual’s overall framework). Techniques run on Numerology aptitude (concealed-weapon techniques additionally require Chess). Veil Scar Sect members can be asked to tutor Chess, Numerology, and Poison.

Regional Story: “No Life, No Death, No Good, No Evil”
Deep within Veil Scar Sect’s territory lies a forbidden place known as the Lifeless Abyss. Legend holds that any disciple accepting a commission must descend into its depths and seal a death-order in their own blood — and once sealed, that disciple will stop at nothing to see it through, a reputation that chills anyone who hears of it.
Now the stars themselves have shifted in some unnatural way, and unrest stirs within the sect — what secret does this shadowy order still keep hidden from the world?

Signature Mechanic: Star Fate
Completing “No Life, No Death, No Good, No Evil” unlocks Veil Scar Sect’s centerpiece feature: killing other characters to seize their Star Fate, a resource usable to grant pre-succession legacy bonuses even before your own character passes the torch.
Accumulating Star Fate
After completing the story, you can build a Star Chart Platform at any sect where your support is 30%+ (one per sect, max 5 total). Whenever a character living at a sect with a Star Chart Platform earns reputation inconsistent with their sect’s alignment — a righteous character gaining negative reputation, a heretical one gaining positive reputation, or a neutral-sect character gaining reputation of either kind — they accumulate Star Fate points. These points persist even if the character later changes allegiance.
Higher-Purity characters can accumulate more Star Fate. Once an adult character’s Star Fate reaches 50% of their cap, they become a Star Fate Source — a valid target.
Seizing Star Fate
Interact with a Star Fate Source to trigger “Seize Star Fate” — a duel to the death. You fight this battle wearing a mask, so the target can’t identify you as the attacker. Killing them transfers all of their accumulated Star Fate to you.
Using Star Fate
Unlock: Use the special item “Mystic Constellation” from your inventory.
Effect: Grants pre-succession legacy bonuses immediately, without waiting for your heir to formally inherit — this spends Star Fate points instead of normal legacy points. The Mystic Constellation screen also shows the current map locations of all active Star Fate Sources.
Completing the sequel story raises the Star Chart Platform cap from 5 to 10.
