Sect Guide

Kongsang Sect

A hidden paradise atop a snow mountain, where medicine that raises the dying and poison that kills without a trace are two sides of the same coin.

NeutralRival: Jade-Maiden SectFist / Finger / Leg / Concealed Weapon

Also known as the Kongsang Medicine-King Sect, Mount Kongsang may look like an ordinary snow-capped peak, but it hides a paradise within — every rare herb imaginable grows in its hidden valleys. Kongsang disciples are masters of both medicine and poison: their remedies can bring the dying back to life, and their poisons can kill without leaving a trace. Based in the Liaodong–Mount Kongsang region, its arts run on the Return to Origin elemental attribute.

Kongsang Sect is politically Neutral, opposed to Jade-Maiden Sect, and its members lean toward the Solipsistic stance.

Sect Philosophy

Its arts span fist, finger, leg, and concealed weapons — rooted in ancient alchemical traditions, favoring rare poisons and secret medicines to enhance one’s power, even to the point of remaking the body itself. Its manuals run backwards from most sects: earlier chapters study slower, later chapters study progressively faster (this modifier does not apply to a manual’s overall framework). Techniques run on Medicine and Poison aptitude. Kongsang members can be asked to tutor Medicine, Poison, Weaving, and Craftsmanship.

Study-speed formula

When studying chapter X of a Kongsang manual: study efficiency = −75% + 25% × X
So chapter 1 is studied at −50% efficiency, while chapter 5 (if it exists) reaches +50%. The deeper into a manual you go, the faster it studies.

Favor Interaction: Secret Medicine, Extended Life

Freezes a party member’s biological age for 3 years — but during this time, they may randomly contract a random poison each month.

Regional Story: “Rare Poison, Peerless Remedy”

Legend holds that the First Emperor of Qin sought the elixir of immortality — ten thousand years as his reign’s due. Kongsang Sect, too, has poured every ounce of its collective wisdom into the same pursuit. But medicine and poison walk hand in hand: countless brewing attempts have swung between resurrection and death, with no certainty either way.

Now, it seems Kongsang Sect is hiding some deeper secret — perhaps a rare figure, or a strange happening, still waiting to be uncovered…

Signature Mechanic: Command the Ancient Cauldron

Completing “Rare Poison, Peerless Remedy” unlocks Kongsang’s centerpiece feature: commanding the Liao Family’s Ancient Cauldron to travel to any region and provide ongoing healing to everyone there — at the cost of your own health.

How it works

Activation: Interact with the “Liao Family Ancient Cauldron” facility on the map.
Cost: Consumes your character’s entire remaining health.
Effect: Sends the Cauldron to any uncorrupted region. Each month, it performs one random healing effect on every character in that region: heal all wounds, cure all poison, clear all internal disorder, or restore health to maximum.

Sequel unlock: Cauldron-Serpent Tempering

Consume a King Insect (of any type) to remove the “Xuanhui” corruption-mark trait from a character in the Cauldron’s region, granting them 10 years of immunity to Xuanhui corruption. This works on characters not yet corrupted too — you can pre-emptively protect them. 1 King Insect is consumed per character tempered.

Best for — players who want a sect built entirely around the medicine/poison duality — Kongsang rewards patience (its manuals get better the deeper you go) and offers one of the most powerful area-healing tools in the game, at a genuinely steep personal cost.
