Fuloong Sanctuary
Built atop a volcanic island in the East Sea — where drunken fists strike with a force that could swallow the ocean and the moon.
HereticalRival: ShaolinFist / Concealed Weapon / Blade
Fuloong Sanctuary sits on Chiming Island, out in the East Sea. The sect splits into two lineages: the Situ family’s bladework is unmatched in raw power, while the Long family’s fist and palm techniques run exceptionally deep. Legend holds a volcano burns at the island’s heart, and disciples train within its heat. Based in the Jiangnan–Chiming Island region, its arts run on the Pure Yang elemental attribute.
Fuloong Sanctuary is a heretical sect that won’t teach anyone whose reputation is too high, and stands opposed to Shaolin. Its members lean toward the Upright/Just stance.
Sect Philosophy
Its arts span fist, concealed weapons, and blade — power drawn from wine, unleashed at the peak of drunkenness, where force runs richest and most potent, as if it could swallow rivers and seas, devour sun and moon whole. Fuloong Sanctuary’s manuals are front-loaded: study of earlier chapters is faster, and later chapters progressively slower (this modifier does not apply to a manual’s overall framework — the exact inverse of Kongsang Sect’s curve). Techniques run on Connoisseurship and Cooking aptitude. Fuloong Sanctuary members can be asked to tutor Connoisseurship, Smithing, and Cooking.
Study-speed formula
When studying chapter X of a Fuloong Sanctuary manual: study efficiency = 75% − 25% × X
Chapter 1 is studied at +50% efficiency; efficiency drops as you go deeper. The opposite of Kongsang Sect.

Regional Story: “Dragon Transformed, Taking Flight”
“The dragon’s roar stirs the four marshes, longing for rain; the phoenix leads her nine chicks, startling the roosting birds.” Fuloong Sanctuary was built against the volcano on Chiming Island, its disciples driven by an obsessive hope that a true dragon might one day descend — a hope that has fueled years of plunder, killing, and elaborate sacrificial rites.
Lately, though, the island has been struck by one natural disaster after another, and countless lives have been lost. Yet the sect’s members seem entirely unmoved by it all…

Signature Mechanic: Deploy the Fire Chickens
Completing “Dragon Transformed, Taking Flight” unlocks Fuloong Sanctuary’s centerpiece feature: dispatching special “Fire Chickens” to assist Taiwu Village residents in performing their assigned roles more effectively.
How it works
Activation: From the “Legacy Registry” screen in Taiwu Village.
Effect: Each village role (Envoy, Grave Guardian, Scholar, Merchant, Physician, Craftsman, Farmer) has a matching Fire Chicken type tied to its Seven-Elements needs. Deploying that type grants every resident in that role a Seven-Elements trait boost. Deploying 3 Fire Chickens of the same type unlocks an extra function for that role.
Fire Chicken Types & Bonus Roles
| Village Role | Fire Chicken | Extra function (at 3 chickens) |
|---|---|---|
| Envoy | Fortune | “As Fate Would Have It” — chance for an extra “social favor” event each month |
| Grave Guardian | Valor | “Stand Firm Against Demons” — reduces corruption buildup while guarding sword-tombs |
| Scholar | Wit | “Word on the Street” — monthly, shifts a random nearby character’s affection toward you |
| Merchant | Warmth | “Guild Connections” — monthly increases guild favor in the deployed region |
| Physician | Calm | “Tend the Heart” — reduces corruption in local heretical-path individuals |
| Craftsman | Resolve | “Turn Stone to Gold” — chance to upgrade a random refined material in the public storehouse |
| Farmer | Harmony | “Careful Cultivation” — chance for higher-grade resource cores when moving resources |
Sequel unlock: Fire Chicken Feathers
Fire Chickens periodically grow harvestable feathers. Growth progress accumulates monthly (faster with more Fire Chickens in the village); at 100%, a random Fire Chicken sprouts a feather (chickens with an unharvested feather pause growth until collected). Check progress at the “Fire Chicken Coop” building — there, you can also spend 10 Stamina + 7,000 of every resource type and silver to instantly add 700% progress. Feathers can be used as refining materials for equipment, or consumed directly for a matching trait bonus.
